Sensitivity of CNOSSOS-EU sound propagation model to digital surface components

The accuracy of input data is a key issue in sound propagation model calculations. This paper aimed to assess the effect building and land cover on CNOSSOS-EU outputs. Calculations were performed for study site with quite diverse structure, located along major road Monor, Hungary. Nine test cases defined based datasets different accuracy. Comparing results each other, it was found that residential areas, more sensitive than data. Therefore, recommended use detailed those while using database higher resolution CORINE does not provide significantly better results. In non-residential influence increases significantly.
